History :
                The story of this film has slight resemblance to the Hindi film Trishool. The story and the basic plot have lot of commercial potentiality. But the execution of the film could not translate that potentiality onto the screen. A better screenplay should have helped the film. Debutant director Vamsi Paidipally's work is good in parts. He executed a few vital scenes very well. But he could not maintain compactness in his narration. He gave unnecessary build-ups of hero oriented scenes again and again. For example, there is no need to use freeze camera technique on the kid, when he puts knife on a man. The following scene impressed me -

In the climax fight Prakash Raj gets hold of a gun and points it at Prabhas. And obviously that gun had no bullets. Hence we all come to know about it in due time. But the director inserted an episode in between in which he remembers a gun seller telling technical details about the gun followed by hero recollecting the number of shots and then realizing that the bullets are over. By inserting this scene, the director elevated the heroism through hero's intelligence.The scene how hero finds the connection between two vital people in the film is also executed well.

           Munna (Prabhas) is a college student. His aim is to finish off mafia don Kakha (Prakash Raj) who controls the entire city under his grip. Munna has personal vengeance to take on Kakha.  An honest politician Srinivasa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) relentlessly works to expose Kakha but  he gets killed. Meanwhile, Munna’s classmate Nidhi (Ileana D'Cruz) falls in love with him. The twist in the tale is that the Kakha is none other than his estranged father who tries to sell off his mother and responsible for the death of his kid sister. Another don in the city named Aatma (Rahul Dev) asks Munna to join him. After some incidents including the death of his  best friend, Munna finds out the Aatma was working for Kakha all along. The two of them plan on killing him in a factory when all of a sudden the Aatma turns against Kakha and Munna. Munna kills Aatma and then kills Kakha.
